Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

2 weeks following completing the epic Marathon Des Sables.  With Norovirus and 50 degrees of heat (10 degrees hotter that usual) - I Finished.  There were some truly low points - the Dunes on the second day for one.  I completed my first ever marathon at 52 in the desert.

6 Marathons in 6 days - 80km on one day - this year saw a drop out rate of 50%.

I am raising money for Fisher House, a military home away from home, where military patients of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital can stay with their families free of charge. Having been in the army since I was 16 I directly see the amazing benefit of Fisher House and the incredible support it can offer. It is amazing to see patients that return for treatment be able to stay in the house stress-free just a short walk from the hospital.

We must never forget the sacrifice our service personnel endure to defend our country and do whatever, whenever they are asked! Fisher House supports them and their families during their hospital stay.

Thank you very much for donating and don't forget to gift aid !
