Myself and my daughter India are running in this years Bupa Great North Run.
We are running for Macmillan Cancer Support. This fantastic charity improves the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional & financial support and is continually pushing for better cancer care. Two million of us are living with cancer and therefore we are all affected by it.
This charity is close to my heart because Jack Flint, my dad, died from an aggressive form of cancer in December 2011. He was a fit, hard man and cancer took him very quickly. It was a difficult time for Michelle (my sister) and I to witness our dad be ravaged by the cancer. Any money we raise will be going to a great cause with great people.
As we train to complete the 13.1 miles, the work Macmillan do is a huge motivation. We believe that this is a charity that is well worth backing and any money we raise will be going to a great cause.
We cannot thank you enough for the support we are sure you will give.
