Story
I started running in Jan 2023, at that time I’d never ran more than a few miles and wanted to challenge myself to do a 10k. Having never ran that distance in my life I wanted to challenge myself.
It took a lot of training and hard work but I managed it and now run a 10k on a regular basis.
It’s time to challenge myself again!
Now I’ve ‘mastered’ the 10k distance the insane part to my mind wants to set another target and a much harder one!
The thought of running another 12k on top of a 10k puts the fear of god into me but I feel that if I’ve managed to reach a target before I can do it again!
SO! I've signed up for my FIRST EVER half marathon!!! And where better to start than on my doorstep and supporting a local charity.
The Myton Hospices believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; they focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. They are leaders in compassionate end of life care; their work centres on our patients and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly they give them more quality time with their loved ones.Last year they supported more than 1,500 people and their families, in our three hospices, via their patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
Please donate what you can to help support this fantastic charity and support me in my madness to challenge myself by running a distance I’ve NEVER ran!!! 😅
Your support will spur me on and will keep me going through my winter training program.
Thanks for your donation! 🙏
