Welcome to my Just Giving fundraising page! I am running the 2024 Edinburgh Marathon for Cancer Research UK in order to raise as much money as possible. On the 14th September, I lost my baby sister to breast cancer, which had spread to her spleen, lung and liver. She was 46 years old. I am absolutley, completely heart broken, and that will never change. In between the tears, I kept thinking what can I do? I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone. I decided I can run, and I’ll raise as much as I can for the charity working on putting a stop to this. I picked the Edinburgh Marathon, as it will be a huge challenge (I have never run a marathon before) but I absolutely will complete it for my sister. The cold reality is, that 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime, so if it isn’t you, chances are, it will be someone close to you.
