Story
I’m Starting this bucket list challenge tomorrow. More nervous than for any other ride. The stark reality is that 9 hours a day on a bike for 9 days to ride a 1000 miles , is nothing compared with the huge battles that people fighting cancer endure.
I have close family and friends who are on a journey fighting bowel cancer and it is incredible to see the courage dignity and strength that is shown during their terrifying ordeal.
My cousin Joshua Reynolds has personally been fighting cancer since he was 3 years old. Now in his 40’s he is still on the battlefield with bowel cancer and the bravery and strength of character shown at every stage of his journey is truly remarkable. If anything could be done through research to save others from a similar ordeal, would be fantastic.
Whatever pain I experience in the next 9 days is nothing in comparison, and I’ve decided that this challenge is significant enough to raise money for an extremely important cause .
