Story

In 2020 I ran my first Marathon, which was the Hundon Trail Marathon. In 2021 I ran my first ultra marathon which was the Stour Valley Path 50km. For 2022 I am attempting to complete my first ever 100KM ultramarathon, the Stour Valley Path 100km.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Stour Valley Path 100k and the race is dedicated to the memory of Susan Hearne.

Susan Hearne, the mother of the Stour Valley Path Ultra Race Director, sadly passed away in September 2021. She loved helping out at the race, in particular looking after runners at the aid stations and handing out medals at the finish. In her final days she was very well cared for by St. Helena Hospice in Colchester.

So in memory of Susan Hearn, as well as Mike and Phil, who were so well cared for by other hospices, I am looking to raise money in support of St Helena Hospice.

My only goal is just to try and get to the end within the 15.5 hour time limit, ideally without the leg cramps that plagued me during the Hundon Marathon and Stour Valley Path 50km.

So for anyone that likes the idea of me suffering for 15 hours and supporting a really worthwhile charity, please pledge.
