22q11DS (DiGeorge Syndrome) is a condition present from birth that can cause a range of lifelong problems, including heart defects and learning difficulties. My sister and nephew have both been diagnosed with this condition so I have seen first hand the impact it has on their lives. Max Appeal is a charity close to my heart as it provides support for people with 22q11DS, raises knowledge and awareness of the condition and is focussed on sharing, hope and standing with families. 

I am taking part in the Manchester Marathon to raise money for this wonderful charity. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
