I have run the Great Manchester 10k run and other events for several charities in the past and all of them were worthy but this time I will focus on trying to help poor children in the Manchester area with Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity.

 

The company I work for has been very supportive with this event and hopefully our team will be able to raise enough money to make a difference to some of these poor children. The children are our future and if we can all give a little more to help them their lives may be improved or a least reduce the pain of their illnesses.

 

I have been lucky so far in my life to have a beautiful wife and & healthy little girl and hopefully she will have another happy healthy sibling in the future. She did have a minor operation in Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital who did a wonderful job and the staff have always been excellent. Many years ago, I was a patent as a child for  minor operations and have vague memories of the Children’s ward so I feel good about helping these unfortunate children in our own region.

 

Other people have not been so lucky. My own brother is very sick with multiple sclerosis and other illnesses has been a patent in some of the hospitals this charity supports so doing this will hopefully help to make a difference and help some poor children that need it.
