Everytime I write or say New York I want to break out into song with either Frank Sinatra's " New York, New York" or for those younger than me Jay-Z & Alicia Keys "Empire State of Mind" song which also features "New York" in the chorus.   

Back to the point, on Sunday Nov 6th I am running the New York marathon and would be extremely grateful if you could donate as much as possible to this worthy cause. 

I have chosen Cancer Research UK as it was picked by my work colleagues as the charity of choice during our Health & Well Being week for us to build an association with over the next few years. 

So here goes as the first event !!  Please dig deep and donate as much as possible.  For those of you that have run a marathon you know how much effort it takes, I do enjoy the challenge I must admit but it is made all the more worthwhile if you know what you've done really counts for something.
