Story

RUN FAT BOY RUN!!!

Next year will be my last in the Fire Service. I will be 50 and have completed 28 years.

I always said to my family and friends that one day I would run the London marathon. Oh how they laughed! Well I thought this year would be as good as any so I’ve signed up. This will be a massive physical and mental challenge for me but something that I am looking forward to…….maybe I am as crazy as you all tell me I am!

I shall be running to raise funds for the Firefighters charity. Over the years the Firefighters charity have helped me and my family through some very tough times (those who know me will know just how tough) and I think it only fair that I do my very best to give something back to this great organisation, one that may have helped you in the past or may do in the future.

So here’s the point. I have been lucky enough to have been offered a gold place. This means I will need to raise in excess £2000. If you feel that sponsoring me, and the Firefighters charity, is a worthy cause, I promise to do all my training (blood, sweat and plenty of tears), then please visit my just giving page.

Many thanks in advance,

Mark Caine
