We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having raised money for Bliss Premature babies for the two previous Ride London’s (100 mile bike ride) I’ve done, when I got a place  in this years event it was without getting a charity place. So effectively I wouldn’t have to raise any money for a charity. That’s not because I didn’t want to raise money for a worthy cause but because times are hard for most people these days and I don’t like asking for money.

However, when I told my mum I’d got a place in this years event, she said I should raise some money for a dementia charity.

The reason behind this is that my lovely old dad is sadly fading away with mixed dementia.  He’s now a shadow of his former self and seeing him get worse and worse is heartbreaking. And more so for my mum who is effectively his fully time carer.

So being the good son I am (well at times) for once I am doing as my mum has asked .

So any spare money you can donate to this very worthy cause would be very much appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Edit. I've now signed up for the London to Brighton ride in June as well, so I get twice the pain for every donation.
