Story

Leeds Childrens Charity supports thousands of children across the city that dont enjoy a happy childhood. They give children who are raised in poverty, who suffer abuse or neglect, or who give up much of their childhood to care for a parent,  a fun filled, week long break where they can create happier memories. With the support of local schools, social workers and carers, they take 400 children away each year where they play, make friends, learn social skills and enjoy respite away from home. On top of this they welcome schools all year round to provide children with a good experience where they have fun and learn new skills.

In the year 2021 I am setting the challenge to raise as much money as possible for this brilliant charity by taking part in 12 physical challenges in 12 months. So far the confirmed challenges are as follows:

  • Run 5K everyday in January
  • 100 pressups a day in february
  • Run 200km in march
  • Leeds Country Way 62 mile Walk (2 day Challenge)
  • Cycle 200 miles in May
  • Run 10 half marathons in june
  • Tour de Yorkshire 64 mile 1 day bike ride
  • Yorkshire 3 Peaks (26 mile, 1 day walk)
  • Leeds 1/2 Marathon
  • Coast to Coast 140 mile bike ride (2 day challenge)
