On the fast approaching!!! August bank holiday most of you will be relaxing and using the well earned day off to re-cooperate, however I'll be setting off on the Coast-to-Coast bike ride to raise money for the Charity DebRA. The ride takes us from Whitehaven in Cumbria through the Lake District, up and over the Pennines and down to Tynemouth in Newcastle. It's just under 150 miles including some very tough hills! I've somehow managed to complete the 3 peaks challenge twice before for charities but I think this is on a whole new level!

There are 7 of us participating in this (mad) challenge. The people taking part are mainly friends from football or work alongside others taking part. I have decided to raise money for the charity DebRa which has affected the lives of a couple I only met a few years back through playing for WIFC. Pete and Michelle Fincham's young children Grace and Freddie are affected by this condition and have been since birth. Suffering with eczema myself and more so when I was a child is nothing to what these two suffer with day in day out! Hopefully the money I raise can make a difference!
