Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am planning to run the MK half marathon on 11th March followed by the MK full marathon on 7th May to raise money for Milton Keynes University Hospital's Neonatal Unit.
Our son Oscar arrived back in October somewhat earlier than expected and spent the first 11 weeks of his life being cared for by the staff at the neonatal unit. They did an absolutely amazing job of looking after him and we can't thank them enough for the support and care that they gave Oscar, Sarah and myself through what was quite a stressful time.
The unit relies heavily on donations and fundraising to help raise money for equipment and training, which either directly or indirectly has an impact on both the patients and their families stay in hospital. We would like to try and raise £1500 towards some additional syringe drivers for the ward, these are used to help administer medication and painkillers when a baby is being sick or having difficulty swallowing.
All donations no matter how big or small are greatly appreciated and will make a big difference to the unit.
Thanks a lot!
