I have decided to do the Great Scottish Run 10k this September, as it seemed like a bit of a challenge, and an amazing way to raise money for a charity that is close to all our hearts. I would like to support Cancer Research UK, as it seems that you cannot talk to anyone these days without them knowing someone that has been affected by the disease. On a personal level, my family and I are so grateful with the care that my dad has received since being diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2007. He is steadilly getting better, all due to the cancer specialist care that he is receiving. It is now possible that he will see my three year old son grow up, and enjoy the love that Samuel has for his grandad.

 

It is heart warming to receive words of support for my run (even though it is only 10k - someone actually called me a girl!), perhaps next year i'll contemplate the half marathon. After that, the sky's the limit...
