Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, where I am fundraising to help beat cancer through two events in October - yes, over my birthday celebratory period!

I will be competing in an Olympic Duathlon as part of Vodafone's Big Bold Challenge on 1st October, and also running the Great South Run on 25th October

The Olympic Duathlon consists of a 40k bike, followed by a 10k run. I have been fair-weather training to date, so a bit of rain on the day will no doubt catch me off guard.  I am looking to complete this in a time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, puncture free!  Please come down to Dorney Lake to support if you can.

The Great South Run is my next challenge in my year of running. In January I set myself a target to run 100 times in a year, and having completed 10k in February, and every month since, I am pushing myself to complete 10 miles (16k) in a time of 1 hour and 20 minutes, averaging 5 minute kilometers.  Again, please come down to Portsmouth/Southsea to show your support to the thousands of runners doing their bit for charity.
