I am 49, and a former Corporal in the Army. I suddenly lost my sight within 3 hours in January 2011 and was later diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Undeterred by my illness and supported by Blind Veterans UK, I was able to overcome the problems that arose from my sight loss and return back to work in 2012.  I am taking up this charity event of a tandem skydive to raise funds and awareness for Blind Veterans UK, so that they can continue the amazing work in helping other blind and visually impaired ex-Service men and women to overcome the challenges of Life beyond Sight Loss.
