Story
In loving memory of Zara Shahid,
A mother, a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter and a niece. Zara was many things but to most people, she was a friend. She reached out to so many and became a friendly face, a caring individual with a huge heart - nothing was more important to Zara than her daughter, her family and her friends. She had time for everyone and was a lovely lady who will so very sadly be missed.
It was Allah’s will. We may not understand at this time, why. But we know Allah is the best of planners and for that we accept, it was the time written for Zara to sadly leave so many that loved her.
“When a man /woman dies, his /her good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and righteous offspring who will pray for him /her.” (Muslim)
In the beautiful name of our sister Zara Shahid let us give generously in the form of ongoing charity, it is this Sadaqah Jaryia that will benefit her in the Akhira.
£750 for 5 water pumps insha'Allah
May Allah swt grant our sister Zara the highest rank of Jannat, grant her family ease and sabr in this difficult time. Ameen
Mariya, a family friend
Nearly one billion people have no access to safe drinking
water, One of every five deaths of children under the age of 5 is due to a water related disease. Close to 80% of illness in developing nations is believed to be connected to poor water and sanitation issues. Building water wells and hand pumps are a significant initial step to our community development approach in empowering people to live their best life. By providing fresh water we can improve the conditions within that community. By donating in
water projects, it also makes an excellent form of sadaqa jaariya for loved ones (including those who have passed away), as both you and the recipient continue reaping rewards as long as the project is bringing benefit to people, animals and crops.
