Story
This is a crazy time for everyone! Running is helping me stay sane, but I have decided to push myself and set myself a challenge of completing ‘10 Marathons in 10 Weeks!’
Like most people I’m only allowed out to exercise once a day so the 26.2 miles will have to be incorporated into my daily exercise over a 7 days. Repeated over a ten week period.
During these uncertain times so many things have been cancelled or put on hold, one such event is the Mud Madness run for Bluebell Wood. I was supposed to be joining a group of friends as part of Team Mia’s Smile, running to raise money for Bluebell Wood in memory of Mia on 18th April.
Bluebell Wood is a fantastic charity who gave , and continue to give amazing support to a friend, Dawn Ward, who suffered unbearable loss almost two years ago. Mia, her daughter passed away just before her tenth birthday, she was a beautiful, kind and loving little girl x
We are all finding it financially difficult through the lockdown but charities more than most. The hospice is still open for emergency and end of life care and their community nurses are still going into family homes if required.
So now it’s more important than ever to dig deep and donate, even the smallest amount will make a difference!
I will be documenting my distance on Strava and Facebook if you want to follow my progress! ( May even post the odd video, bear in mind I can’t get to the hairdressers 🙈😱)
