Story

I'm doing the Edinburgh Kiltwalk on the 17th September this year and raising funds for L'Arche Highland.

My nephew Jason moved into Braerannoch in Inverness last year. The home is run by L'Arche which provides residential support to adults with special needs in 35 countries throughout the world.

My sister Jill and brother-in-law Kenny have cared for Jason for over 32 years and continue to do so of course but looking ahead should anything happen to them they know Jason is now settled at L'Arche and being supported by the staff there.

L'Arche receives funding from the state for it's service provision but there is a significant gap between what they are funded to do and what they would like to deliver. They bridge this gap through a mixture of fundraising and voluntary help.

To this end I would like to do my bit to raise funds specifically for Braerannoch  and have set myself a target of £500, the countdown to the big day begins - all donations gratefully received.
