Bristol Half Marathon · 9 September 2007 ·

We’re the 10 million people living with arthritis in the UK. The carers, researchers and healthcare professionals. The family, friends and fundraisers. United by a clear vision: a future free from arthritis. One in which no one is limited by the pain, fatigue and isolation that arthritis can cause.

Story

Well, I did it! Stopping only for water and jellybabies, and actually to walk a bit at the end, I managed to complete my first half-marathon (2:43). I am very pleased to have done it, it was a great atmosphere, and really good fun to do (mostly). In fund-raising, I have heard more of people suffering with arthritis and how very painful, debiltating and disabling it can be, affecting all ages, so it is great to have been able to support Arc - with your help. Also celebrating my uncle, Tony Wade's 80th brithday, inspired by all his efforts for this cause. Thank you so much - it really made a difference, especially in the last few miles! For anyone visiting this page for the first time, it is still open for donations until 9/11/07. And those who have generously sponsored and supported me - THANK YOU! Marilynx
