Hard work and good luck have resulted in my gaining a qualifying place at the 2011 Beijing Spring Triathlon World Championships - September 10th.   This is an age group place so shall be competing for GB against women in my age category (65-69) from around the world.   I know that Australia and America are represented which caused a mild panic as struggle to make improvements in swimming!  The last 3 months have been a whirlwind of training and preparation (my husband says more of a slog!).   I can honestly say I have worked my socks off - my goal is to arrive composed on the start line without injury, kit prepared and race smoothly without mishap.

 

I am raising money for Cornwall Hospice Care a wonderful Cornish-based charity providing specialist medical care and support to adults with a life-limiting illness.  Any donation no matter how small will be much appreciated.   I shall keep you informed of progress and results.
