Story
Many thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Over the past few months I have teamed up with 5 lady friends whom I met through my daughter Jemma's primary school, to prepare for the upcoming MoonWalk.
Since I arrived in the UK (almost 5 years ago!) I have been attracted to this fun event, which has an amazing cause. For those of you who don't know - we will be partaking in a marathon walk in London on Saturday/Sunday 17 May in our bras - all to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. Breast Cancer has personally affected me in 2003 when my Mum had a mastectomy. Thankfully, she has survived and has just celebrated her 79th birthday.
We have shared lots of very interesting times - ranging from having sore muscles/joints, blisters, lots of laughs - which makes miles feel like only a few yards. Being exposed to the British climate we have also endured all kinds of weather - got completely drenched in a very heavy rainstorm three weeks ago. We have also sealed our friendship and I can just predict that this will be the first of many to come!
Your support will be much appreciated!
