On the 20th August 2020, our friend Alex Caldwell lost a 15-year struggle with an immune disorder which saw him battle through a liver transplant, bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy.

Alex raised over £4000 for Anthony Nolan, an incredible charity which matches bone marrow donors to people in need of lifesaving transplants.

With this in mind, we have decided to run the Cardiff Half 2022 (postponed from 2021) in aid of Anthony Nolan and in tribute to our mate, Alex. In preparation for the Half, I will also be running ten 10K races leading up to October 2022.

As the big man himself put it: Any donations are welcome no matter how small - for a cause that’s so close to my heart.
