Story
Some days change your life forever, 22nd March 2013 was that sort of day for us. It was on that day, that our beautiful son Luke entered into the world. We knew he had a poorly heart (Cardiomyopathy) but we were hopeful for heart surgery. Instead, Luke just had 12 hours here on earth with us before he entered God's presence.... I plan to run the London Marathon in Luke's memory.
I have tried to get to the start and finish line of the London Marathon a number of times but haven't made it due to a variety of reasons including Covid! However the new date for the marathon is the 3rd October 2021. This is also my Dad's 75th birthday. I went to watch my Dad run the London marathon when I was a child and promised him that one day I too would run the marathon, so this has to be my year! Can't wait to see my Dad at the finish line.
So I wanted to say a Big thank you to Cardiomyopathy UK for giving me a place in this year's marathon and a Big thank you to all of you who have been encouraging me on this very long journey.#Thisismyyear! #LondonMarathon
If you have sponsored me already THANK YOU, Please also share my page with your friends....If you haven't sponsored me, and you are able, please join with us in supporting the great work that Cardiomyopathy do in helping people with heart conditions. Whilst I have met my minimum fundraising target, I am now aiming to raise £10,010 to set a new record for London Marathon fundraising to Cardiomyopathy UK.
