On Sunday 8th September, I'll be taking part in the Great North Run- the World's biggest half marathon. I'm doing this to raise as much money as I can for Bloodwise (formerly known as Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research). As a lot of you may already know, this is a charity that is very close to both mine and my family's hearts. They are dedicated to funding lifesaving research in to blood cancer, as well as providing information and support to patients and their families. Their vision is to one day beat blood cancer and with your help, they can get a little bit closer to achieving this. 

I'm by no means a professional runner and having done the event now three times before (2007, 2008 & 2017) I realise just how tough it is and to be totally honest, I think I preferred it back in 2007 when I was blissfully ignorant of what lay ahead of me!!! 

So for the next couple of months, my training will be really stepping up a notch as I hit the streets of Horncastle & the surrounding areas to get ready to take on the 13 mile challenge!
