Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you may know myself and Alan and a few others we have managed to recruit are doing the Baxters 10k on the 2nd October. All of you who know me will be shocked at this as walking the length of the car is about all i do. Training has been slow and sure and with only 3 weeks to go its gonna start in earnest this week (weather permitting obviously!!!!). While we were on holiday in October last year my cousin Ishbel Gilroy passed away from a very rare and aggressive lung disease - Interstitial Lung Disease. She was a headteacher in Inshes Primary School in Inverness and had received an OBE for her services to Gaelic Medium in Education. Ishbel was a wonderful person who's smile lit up a room - gap in teeth and all - and she is sadly missed by all her family. All monies raised by doing the race will go the the British Lung Foundation to help find a cure for this devastating disease and help other families not have to go through the pain Ishbels family have had to endure this past year. It will be nearly a year to the day when we do the race that Ishbel passed away, a fitting tribute to my lovely cousin who we all miss dearlly. Thank you for taking the time to read my page and hope you can donate something however small. Thank you for your time
