In a year like no other, Christmas feels very different this year.
This year I’d like to ask my friends and family who are generous enough to buy me a gift at Christmas, to instead donate to St Oswald’s. It’s not that I don’t appreciate the presents; I certainly do. However the best present anyone can give me this year will be to ensure this wonderful organisation can continue to support families at the toughest of times.
As I head into my final 12 months as Chair of this wonderful organisation. Our St Oswald’s Team have done a remarkable job of ensuring patient care and family support has continued. However fundraising has been severely impacted.
Coronavirus is the biggest and gravest challenge St Oswald's Hospice clinical teams, supporting staff, volunteers and patients have ever faced in our almost 35 years of caring. We, like you, are all still struggling to come to terms with it.
Our wonderful team are working tirelessly to provide the best possible care and support and demand for our services is rising fast when like most charities, we are seeing our income fall.
Lots of love
Marie
