Story
Before I had Bailey, I depended on everyone else to get me from A to B. I would use a cane when I had to but if there was sighted help I would much prefer to use that.
I wouldn't go anywhere new in case I got lost and would have to be met by friends if ever going out with them.
When Bailey came along, things slowly changed.
I was going to the shops by myself, getting help from customer service people, going to appointments by myself and meeting friends on my own wherever it would be.
During the course of our 7 and a half years, I went from a scared and unconfident girl to an adventurous and go getting woman. Bailey started to change me for the better and step by step, with him at my side, I felt capable of anything.
I started fundraising and campaigning for Guide Dogs, travelled to London on several occasions alone and that was because I had that gorgeous big labrador cross retriever by my side.
Bailey had many nicnames in our house. "Bops" "Lord Bailey" and "Bailey Bear" and he was all these and more. But to me, he was so much more. He was my eyes, my trusted companion and I'm forever in his debt for how much he helped me find me.
In his memory, I want someone else to have a Bailey so another Bailey can change someone else's life for the better...just like my Bailey changed mine!
So thank you so much for reading our story and if you can spare anything, I'd appreciate your support. Lets help someone else have a life Changing Bailey, like I was so blessed to have.
