Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The reason why i am running in aid of St Michael's Hospice is because at this time my dad who has heart failure is under there care, he goes there once a week to there day center and last month he went in for a rest bite, rest bite is when he stays there for a week or 2 to give my mum and sister a rest from caring for him, save in the knowledge that he will be very well cared for, FOR FREE this service does not cost a penny.

St Micheal's offers expert medical care for people with life limiting illnesses, FOR FREE, they offer a very unique service to the community of Hastings, St Michael's offers help and support to familys and love ones of they patients with a 24 hour phone line just so you can talk to someone, counselling and social worker again this is FOR FREE.

I have seen there work first hand and can not tell you how much they have helped my family.

This very special place is heavily dependent on the generosity of local individuals, companies, groups and trusts. With less than 30% of there total funding coming from the Government in the form of various grants we still need to raise over £3.5 million each year to maintain our current levels of service.

So please dig deep and donate now.
