Sponsored Buggy Push · 10 September 2017

Take part in our Sponsored Buggy Push on Sunday 10th September around the grounds of Darent Valley Hospital in aid of our Little Buds Fund. Support the special care of babies, from conception to cot.

Story

I had my little boy at Darrent Valley Hospital in July. There were complications during my labour resulting in each contraction slowing his heartbeat. I was rushed in for an emergency c section. My poor boy was born floppy and not breathing. The team worked on him and managed to get him breathing. We had a few precious moments together before he was taken to the neonatal special care unit where he was placed in an incubator. Without the work of this team my little boy may not be with us today. The staff work so hard in such a difficult environment. I can not put into words how grateful I am and would really appreciate the support of friends and family in raising money for the ward.

Whether facing a medical emergency, cancer, stroke, heart disease or have a sick child or baby, we want to provide the very best care. Charitable funds have enabled us to introduce the most up-to-date equipment, and improve the ward environments for patients and their families, far beyond what is possible through the NHS budget alone. Your support means staff are able to do so much more with the resources made available to them, meaning we are best placed to detect, diagnose and treat a range of illnesses and injuries at your hospital.
