Story
On the 12 September 2011, the world lost a true gentleman when Christopher Brooks aged 49 from Hemel Hempstead lost his short battle with Leukaemia. Sadly he had been diagnosed less than 2 weeks prior. Chris was a devoted husband to Julia, and father to Michael, Colin & Jamie.
As vice Chairman at Hemel Hempstead Town Football Club “Brooksie” as he was fondly referred to, was a keen sportsman and a positive role model within the local community.
On the eve of Chris’s anniversary, Sunday 16 September I will be taking part in the London Endurance 75+ mile Bikeathon raising money for Leukemia & Lymphoma Research. It is an extreme ride and follows the path of the 2012 Olympians incorporating both Box Hill and Leith Hill (gulp!!!!) around Surrey. I would really appreciate your support. Anyone can get a blood cancer at any age. Around 30,000 people, from babies to grandparents, are diagnosed with blood cancer every year in the UK.
If you would like to donate in the memory of Chris, then please do so.
