London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
I have wanted to re-run the
London Marathon ever since my one attempt in 2003 ended just before mile 13 on
Tower Bridge, through injury. After 16
years I feel 2019 is the year to give it another go!
I felt it would be an opportunity
missed if I was to run it for running sake, so I got in touch with Ambitious
About Autism whom very kindly offered me one of the very valued places.
It was no accident that I chose Ambitious
About Autism, I am lucky enough to have an 8 year old in our group of friends
who is autistic and for him I will be making sure I finish this Marathon so I
can get back in time to chop some soaps 😀.
Now let me tell you a little
about the charity and what your good money will be going to. Ambitious about Autism is the UK national
charity for children and young people with autism.
They provide services, raise
awareness and understanding, and campaign for change. Through TreeHouse School, The Rise School and
Ambitious College they offer specialist education and support.
Their ambition is to make the
ordinary possible for more children and young people with autism.
Every Pound, Euro or Dollar
raised will make a difference:
When you have five minutes please
watch this video about Joe and his school experiences. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tbGKMtObayI
Please help me raise funds which
will all go to help Ambitious About Autism in their mission to make the
ordinary possible for more children and young people with autism.
Oh and remember - donating
through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
