This is the first time I will be taking part in the kiltwalk to raise money in the memory of my beautiful mum, Naheed. She was very elegant and courageous. Not only was she my mum but also my best friend and sister. She was much loved by family and friends, work colleagues and her pupils at the schools she worked in. She fought her condition so bravely but unfortunately lost her battle on the 6th of December 2013. 

The Beatson supported mum throughout her cancer journey with so much respect and care. They provided emotional support aswell as medical and always answered her questions/ concerns about treatment. 

My aim is to raise money to give a little back to this amazing charity that not only helped mum but all those trying to battle this condition daily. I hope one day we find a cure and cancer will be a condition of the past.
