In 2021 the First Love Foundation supported 1,000 people out of crisis and secured life changing financial outcomes for many of them, from overturning eviction notices to accessing benefit payments that had been miscalculated or decided incorrectly. The value of these outcomes came to over £2 million. For some, it meant the difference between surviving on emergency food parcels each week to finally accessing the benefit payment they were entitled to, being able to clear debts and no longer need to visit a foodbank. Crisis resolved, debts cleared, dignity and mental well-being restored.
