Maria's challenge has been inspired by the life and times of Muhammad Ali (RIP).  Like for many others, Muhammad Ali is a celebrated leader in our family for what he represents.  On the day Muhammad Ali passed away, Maria asked us why he was The Greatest and after watching several televised documentaries she said in a softly spoken voice ‘daddy I know why Muhammad Ali is The Greatest.’ 

At Maria’s school inspirational speakers are often invited to kindly offer talks to the pupils.  Recently, we asked Maria who she would like to invite to her school as her inspirational speaker and she got very sad and said no one as she would only want to invite Muhammad Ali.  We explained to Maria in the words of Rabbi Michael Lerner at Muhammad Ali’s funeral that the best way to celebrate Muhammad Ali is to be Ali.
