Eye to Eye 2015 · 22 March 2015 ·
I am going to be walking (and scootering!) 4 miles from Moorfields Hospital to the London Eye on 22nd March with my Mummy, Daddy and brother James to raise money for this great eye hospital.
I was diagnosed with Amblyopia (lazy eye) when I was three years old. Luckily it was diagnosed early as one of mummy's friends who is a paediatric nurse saw that my eye did not look right in photographs. I had to go to the eye hospital for lots of tests and they said I had to wear glasses. Wearing glasses meant I could see so much better! I then had to wear an eye patch every day which was very hard but I did do it with the help of my mummy, daddy, grandparents and teachers at my school. Now my eye is a lot better I do not need to wear my eye patch any more - this makes me very happy :) I still have to wear glasses but I do not mind as my mummy wears glasses too.
I am so grateful to the fantastic staff at Moorfields in particular the Richard Desmond Children's Centre at Moorfields Eye Hospital as they always made me feel comfortable and laugh!
