Story
During the lockdown in 2020 I became a regular visitor to my local park, my daily exercise being pushing my youngest daughter in her pushchair. In this time, I gained a new appreciation of the birds and wildlife I saw. Woodpeckers, kingfishers, a cormorant, (as well as your regular duck or robin) were all there if you were lucky and looked carefully enough. I love learning more about how animals and planets contribute to their ecosystems whether they are in rainforests, oceans, the artic or savanna. It's so important we do not lose these animals with forests being chopped down, oceans polluted etc.
My journey back to cycling after having children has not been easy, I have in younger years cycled across Kent and Belgium and Luxembourg, but now it's harder to find the time. I will find this a real challenge, but the start is through familiar South London at least.
