I DID IT!!!
I completed the 2023 London Marathon. After a set back half way through training which meant the most I could run was 3 miles I wasn't sure how long I'd last on marathon day. My knee held out until mile 17 which meant a lot of walking but I was determined to finish and I did. WOW, what a atmosphere, it was amazing and nothing like anything else. I am very proud of myself and all you guys for you donations to this great cause. Thank you!
I got into the London marathon on the ballot which means I can run, just because. I have chosen to help Epilepsy Research UK because Matt (my husband) has epilepsy and it's terrifying to watch. Anything this charity can do to help people with the condition is amazing.
I've just completed my 7th of 16 weeks of training and everything is going to plan. I've had a small hiccup with a hip injury but after today's 12 miles I'm hoping things are on the mend, I'm actually really enjoying it.
