Story
Just when we think this is the final attack, war, or horrific incident in an already broken country. Broken in unimaginable ways: families have lost loved ones, and keep doing so, due to the relentless conflicts. Individuals are made disabled through the residual effects of mines. Young children and new-borns are malnourished. People suffer mentally due to despair and traumas of wars which merely passes from one generation to the next, they are all left to suffer in silence.
Amidst all this chaos, loss, and destruction the people of Afghanistan are gasping for air yet again. They are drowning by an unprecedented tide of disaster; COVID-19. With a non-existent welfare system, Afghans are left to care for themselves. Innocent children, suffering mothers, helpless fathers, and vulnerable elders are forced to overcome the pandemic alone. The lock-down restrictions have resulted in many homes with no income, food diminishing and families facing starvation!
Afghanistan’s frightful reality is likely to take millions of lives. This is where we as members of humanity must act now! As part of the volunteering team for Afghanistan COVID-19 Emergency Response Appeal (ACERA) consisting of over 30 charities/organisations worldwide, have united efforts to feed the impoverished people of Afghanistan.
Let us not leave them to suffer alone. They are in desperate need of our help. We aim to help Afghans on the ground with the necessities of food. Please help us support the voiceless.
