Take on one of the country's most popular half marathons to support RNIB and those facing sight loss.

Story

Hello, having been a guide runner, I have chosen to raise money for RNIB when I run the Oxford Half this year, raising money for children and adults living with sight loss.

This photo was taken at a parkrun event a few years ago and here is a quote from their newsfeed.

"This week I saw a heart-warming act of support, what I presumed was a visually impaired runner being supported by a guide.  Something I had not witnessed before.  The pair of ladies were connected at the wrist.  What a remarkable gift I thought, giving the freedom to join the parkrun family where everyone is welcomed."

I remember with fondness how we were both deeply touched by the support of other runners and volunteers, taking the time to say encouraging words.  We finished our 5K parkrun to a big round of applause!

With your kind donation, you can help make a difference to people with sight loss.
