Story
I accidentally got a place for the London marathon this year Sunday 26th April after secretly hoping the ballot would not go in my favour. Unfortunately it did and this means I have to do it or my Dad ( who did not get a place) shall be very disappointed.
I will be running very slowly and may crawl by the end but I shall finish and that's what counts. If you would like to donate money, I have said I will raise funds for Sue Ryder which is a charity that funds my local hospice in Cheltenham (Leckhampton Court) which I believe provides invaluable support for terminal patients with cancer and their families in their last few days/weeks of life. I worked closely with this hospice during my time at the oncology centre in Cheltenham and feel it is a very worthwhile cause that makes a great difference to these patients
Thank you!
Mari
