Story
Margaret Lally was a wonderful lady. Margaret turned 83 in February 2011, you wouldn't know it. Everyone that knew her(and everyone knew her) would tell you how she acted and behaved like a lady half of her age. She was mobile and active, and more than anything she was a pillar of her community.
By April of the same year Margaret had become ill. Confused at the slightest thing and got to a stage where she was scared to even prepare hot food for herself. She made visits to the GP but was never diagnosed with any illness until it was to late.
By June, Margaret had suffered a number of strokes that hospitalised her and she never made it home. We lost her on the 31st July that same year.
I along with a close group of friends have made it our goal to raise as much money as we can for the stroke association so we can do our part to help the charity raise money to hopefully prevent these circumstances happening to other families.
On 31st July 2012 - one year on, I and 5 of my friends will be climbing Scar Fell, Skiddaw and Hellvellyn in the Lake District in under 18 hours. The climb will take us as a team through 9,380 feet, i'm sure you will agree - no easy task!!!
I am proud to remember my Grandma, throughout her life she saw the best in people and i now want to challenge myself every year to raise money for this cause.
Please help us and give genourously - even a little bit goes a long way!!
