Story

On a weekly basis I volunteer at Cornerstone and see first hand the fantastic work that they do. Cornerstone provides a safe and warm environment in their clients can access services. As a day centre, they serve breakfast from 10.30am, a hot lunch, sandwiches, and tea and coffee throughout the day. They also provide shower and laundry facilities, clothing shop, free haircuts, computer suite to help clients apply for jobs, housing, benefits and immigration. They help people facing a wide range of issues including homelessness, poverty, social isolation, mental health problems, drug and alcohol addiction. Their Safe Haven pods serve rough sleepers and those experiencing destitution so that they can have a roof over their heads, showers and hot meals in the evening. Every night they can accommodate up to 30 people this include the temporary shelter as a winter provision during the cold weather months. Please dig deep any donation will be gratefully recieved.
