Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running the 2023 London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April for my chosen charity Myaware, a charity that solely focuses on funding research, providing support and raising awareness for those affected by the little known Myasthenia conditions.

Myasthenia Gravis is an autoimmune disease which affects your nervous system, making it hard to send signals to your muscles and therefore you're really weak. The symptoms of Myasthenia make day to day activities difficult such as walking, breathing and swallowing.
Recent research has resulted in more understanding and better management of the disease but there is still no cure.

In 2022 my younger brother received Myasthenia diagnosis after struggling with his health for months. Growing up he was the more athletic sibling, he used to take part in running competitions and play football. Now it’s mine turn to do some running for him.

I appreciate all of the support. Every penny counts and will be going towards an amazing charity.
