Story
350 miles later I'm back!
Thank you to everyone who sponsored me!
The ride was hard but fun and when I encountered that seemingly endless hill on the third day your faces did indeed encourage me.
Whenever my thighs, bum and/or knees began to hurt and part of my mind ached for rest another part thought "NO, this is why I have been sponsored, this is why people have parted with their money, so that I can do something hard, so that the wounded can be helped"
I met some of the guys from Hedley Court over the last week. They appreciate what we did, they appreciate YOUR sponsorship. Now people who have lost limbs, who have been blinded can have a better shot at recuperation.
But it's more than that; by sponsoring Help For Heroes you have bridged a widening gap between the military and the public; you have shown these people that we appreciate their sacrifice.
Thanks once again to you all,
Yours,
Marcus.
