Story
This year I’m celebrating a decade in business. It’s something that would not have been possible without the support of family, friends and business contacts, of which I’m hugely grateful.
Two of those business friends are celebrating an anniversary of their own; it’s been three years since Gary Tailby and Tina Batham established Office Principles North.
In cricketing parlance, we’re collectively 13 not out. And, whilst there’s plenty more runs left to put on the scoreboard, we wanted to mark the occasion by giving something back.
Having lost my parents at a relatively young age, I understand just how important it is to receive emotional support during an incredibly difficult time.
It’s why Gary and Tina are supporting me in raising funds for The Ruth Strauss Foundation.
Early 2018, Ruth Strauss, wife of Sir Andrew Strauss the former England cricket captain, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. Ruth died on December 29th 2018; she was 46 years old and mother to two children, then aged 10 and 13.
The charity named in her honour helps raise awareness of the need for more research and collaboration in the fight against non-smoking lung cancers. And crucially, it assists families when they need it most, by providing professional emotional support to those facing the loss of a parent.
Your generous support is greatly appreciated.
