Fundraising for Alzheimer's Research UK
Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
First of all everyone who knows me and in particular my family know that I am not made for the land! I'm more at home in the water and running 13.1 miles in the Windsor half marathon will probably finish me off!!! anyway, that's the challenge...
Many of you may know my father was diagnosed with a rare form of Alzheimers some time ago, and a couple of years ago he passed away due to this condition. The time taken to diagnose this condition was horrendous, as was the time spent living with the disease.
I would not wish this on anyone and any money that we can raise will help the experts to hopefully find a cure and fight the disease. This will make the patients last years more dignified and the lives of the families involved less unpleasant.
