Story
I am running the marathon next month to raise money for The
Cardinal Hume Centre, a charity which is committed to tackle poverty and prevent homelessness.
It’s a small but powerful organisation, based in the heart of Westminster. Each year it helps hundreds of people in desperate need to turn their lives around.
After becoming homeless Oliver found a home at the Cardinal Hume Centre , which provides accommodation and support for some of the vulnerable 16-25 year olds in London.
Read Oliver's story www.cardinalhumecentre.org.uk/2016/09/olivers-story/
Before coming to the charity, he had nowhere to live. He ended up sleeping in a friend’s van to stay off the streets, while trying desperately to hold down a job.
Young people like Oliver come to the Centre with very little, so
your donation can mean so much…
- 50p per mile - £13 can pay for a residents travel to college for a week
- £1 per mile - £26 can pay for a kitchen 'starter pack' so a young homeless person can learn to cook when they move into our hostel
- £2 per mile - £52 can pay for bedding and towels for when they move into their new room.
Please help me to raise funds for the Cardinal Hume Centre as I
take on my biggest ever challenge. Please sponsor me here or by texting HUME65 and the amount you would like to donate to 70070
Thank you so much!
