Campaign by PROSTATE CANCER UK (RCN 1005541 and in Scotland (SC039332))
Take part in March the Month this September and walk 11,000 steps a day to represent over 11,000 men who die from prostate cancer every year. Help us beat the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK.

Story

It's quite a challenge!

11,000 steps-a-day for 30 days from 1 September - to mark the 11,000 victims of prostate cancer who die each year.

I'm one of the lucky ones. Three years ago, I was diagnosed early enough, so that, two years ago, I had a radical prostatectomy to remove my prostate gland - and all the cancerous cells with it - before they affected any organ outside the prostate.

The success of that major surgery enabled me to have a second hip-replacement operation last year - so that I'm fit enough to tackle 11,000 steps-a-day!

Wish me luck! And please help me make my target - which I've now set at £1000 - ambitious, I know - but I live in hope!
